I am a Mum of two who has been a class teacher for over 25 years and have lead all core subjects. I have been identified both by Ofsted and the ISA as an outstanding teacher. I ensure that my pupils enjoy activities which are both demanding and satisfying and which leave them with a huge sense of achievement and pride.
I am passionate about boosting your child’s education, encouraging them to understand and enjoy maths and Literacy, enabling them to not only reach their full potential but to believe in themselves in order to surpass their limitations.
I use a variety of teaching approaches which enhance learning for all learning needs. Most pre-prepared, individualised lessons involve demonstration, explanation and instruction by the teacher followed by structured practice activities to consolidate skills which have been learned with opportunities to practice quick recall of mental facts and calculation.
I aim for all of my lessons to be a fun, creative and challenging, planned specifically to stretch my pupil in the best way for their learning style. I believe that every child is entitled to the full range of learning in the new National Curriculum, the 11+ and the Common Entrance curricular too.
