I’m a very kind and experienced tutor who is available for sessions during the school day, in the school holidays and evenings. I tutor Primary aged pupils (KS1, KS2 & KS3) in all subjects, specialising in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non Verbal Reasoning and interview practice for entrance examinations.
I also offer general tutoring for Primary Maths and English including preparation for Key Stage 2 SATs, support for children who are struggling at school and extension work for gifted children who may not be being stretched at school. I can also offer core subject skills to adults or help for older pupils who have fallen behind. I have been recommended by local SEND co-ordinators and have worked hand in hand with schools to provide the best possible individualised scheme of work for each of my pupils.
I use many different methods suited to different learning styles and needs. I highlight your child’s learning style then use the most suitable teaching methods in order to make the most progress. I write an individualised programme for each of my pupils for the best progress. I also appreciate the importance of self esteem and its’ role in learning. My pupils all gain in self esteem as well as knowledge during their time under my guidance.
I have a broad experience at a high level and have studied cognitive learning and child development in addition to my extensive teaching experience. I have an excellent reputation and get good results, usually by adding approximately ten Standardised Score points and self confidence to my pupils.
